Travelling to Europe? ETIAS for visa-free nationals, including UK Citizens

Starting in May 2025, citizens who can travel to the EU visa-free, including UK citizens, will be required to obtain an ETIAS to enter Europe.
ETIAS is NOT a visa but a simple online application that only takes a few minutes. You will need to complete this process once every three years.
✈️ How long can you remain in Europe with an ETIAS?
With an ETIAS, you can stay in Europe for up to 90 days within 180 days. The ETIAS remains valid for three years, allowing multiple trips to Europe during that time.
📝 What documents will you need to apply?
You must complete the ETIAS application form online to obtain a visa waiver for Europe. The applicant must enter the following details:
▪ Basic personal information
▪ Passport details
▪ Contact details
▪ Questions about health and past travel
💷 How much will ETIAS cost?
An ETIAS will cost €7 for all applicants between 18 and 70. Applicants over 70 years old and minors will receive an ETIAS free of charge.
🌍 Can you work in Europe with an ETIAS?
No, the ETIAS authorisation does not permit you to work in Europe. ETIAS is designed solely for short-term entry, intended for tourism, leisure visits, and business trips.
🕒 How long will it take to get approval?
Currently, there are no established timelines. We recommend applying 3-4 weeks before your intended travel date.
