Graduate Route Safe for Now - MAC Finds No Widespread Abuse

✅ The Migration Advisory Committee (MAC) recommended retaining the Graduate visa route in its current form following a rapid review.
The review, part of the government's plan to reduce net migration, found no evidence of widespread abuse and concluded that the route supports the integrity and quality of UK higher education.
⚡ MAC highlighted the importance of international student fees for universities and cautioned against significant restrictions.
The committee also recommended mandatory registration for student recruitment agents to prevent exploitation and suggested improved data collection.
👉 The Home Office will consider these recommendations.
