Diplomatic Visa Waivers to Be Replaced by Diplomatic Visa Arrangement (DVA)

📌 Diplomatic Visa Waivers (DVWs) will be phased out and replaced by the new Diplomatic Visa Arrangement (DVA) from 18 February 2025.
The DVA aims to streamline entry for diplomatic passport holders visiting the UK, who are nominated by their governments via a Note Verbale.
🔐 Unlike DVWs, DVA applications will require a simplified form but will not charge fees or require fingerprint submission.
This change will not affect accredited diplomats exempt from immigration control. The UK is modernising its border system with these digital pre-travel checks, supporting secure yet efficient diplomatic travel. DVWs will cease to apply from 11 March 2025.
