Case in Focus: Securing ILR Against the Odds
Thursday 9th January 2025
🏆 Life doesn’t always follow a straight line, and immigration rules often don’t account for life’s unexpected turns. Recently, our caseworker, Olga Bakeeva, secured Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR) for a client on the Tier 1 (Entrepreneur) route, despite the client having been absent from the UK for over nine months due to COVID-19.
The case wasn’t easy. The Home Office issued two detailed requests for additional information regarding the client’s business and employee activities. But with meticulous preparation and a well-crafted response—submitted just one day before the final decision—Olga successfully secured ILR approval within two months of submitting the biometrics.
It’s not just about knowing the law; it’s about understanding the people behind the applications. If you find yourself in a situation where the odds seem stacked against you, reach out to us.
